Another random photo

The last post was really fun, so going to try it again...

I think this sits out in front of what used to be Muddy's Java Cafe. Not sure if it's still Muddy's or not or even there anymore. The Missus and I were going to have breakfast in Downtown and this was outside the door to the restaurant. Thought it looked really cool with the blue wall.

Swear I also saw Paul Westerberg in concert upstairs there in about 1993. One of the first times I saw a "name" act in a small venue. It was just after he did the music for Singles. He rocked the house.

Did a Google search and it looks like Muddy's has a MySpace page.

Where does all the time go?

Last post almost a month ago? That's not good. What the hell have I been doing you ask? Not sure I could give you a good answer. Let me come up with something good and I'll get back to you.

So...in an attempt to trick my brain into writing something, I have randomly selected the photo you see above from my files and will now comment:

This is the Missus with her brother as we made the first trip out of his apartment after his son was born (Junior is in the bundle on his chest). The whole family walked down the street and ate either breakfast or lunch at a Brooklyn restaurant a few blocks away.

I remember my wife's look of pleasant amazement that her big brother was now a dad. He seemed to be getting used the way the world looked as someone's parent. Can't say what was different, as I am not yet a father, but you could tell that he was seeing and responding to things he'd been around a thousand times differently.

Very cool.
