Grammy is wanting to learn how to blog

I am over at my mother-in-law's house and my grandma wanted to learn about blogging so I logged in to show her what it looks. This post is the first lesson.

Next step...grandma signing in on her own computer. Wish me luck!

Karaoke in the Supermarket

The Missus and I had a southern Colorado adventure today. Went to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Totally cool park to visit.

On the way back, we stop at the Safeway in Monument. As we walk in she says, "do they have a band?!?" I reply, "sure sounds like it."

We pop in the front door and it turns out the Starbucks in the front of the Safeway is hosting a karaoke afternoon. We finish our shopping while a little girl (maybe 8 or 9 years old) belts out really great version of "Redneck Woman." Very surreal, This American Life kind of rural experience.

This girl has a future in the film business

This is a damn good pitch. She cuts right to the core of the story.

John Adams - the smartest f***ing prick in the room

How many high school students do you think have NOT A CLUE what this little, hot headed genius gave to allow them to live in the greatest country on Earth?

If you have not had the chance to watch this on HBO, set your Tivo to catch the marathon rerun that is sure to be coming soon. The thing that floors me is to think that Adams was 41 in 1776. Jefferson was 33. I am 35. I better get to work.

Check out HBO's site to learn more about this great show.

Time to scoop the poop or get off the pot

O-key do-key...spring is in the air and it's time to give this rural experiment a serious go this year.

This means we are going to plant something and sell it. Pumpkins and lavendar are on the drawing board.

Here we go!

More Turks and Caicos photos

...'kay..apparently the folks at Blogger are COMPLETELY INCAPABLE of posting a vertical photo, so turn your head 90 degrees to the left and this is Kelly looking at a conch as big as small horse as we drove to go snorkeling.

I'm kidding. Don't remember what she was looking at. Just thought it was funny.

Kelly dresses up as a clown fish to go snorkeling.
